Biscuit the Horse - From Scared to Death to Flying High

I was a working student for Nan for a few years. We came across a rescued Thoroughbred who had no muscle tone or confidence what so ever, named Biscuit.

Once he gained muscle tone and went into a full program, we started to see the amazing potential he had--but we also knew it was buried deep under much wounding and abandonment issues. You see his previous owner abandoned him physical and emotionally and when he came to us he was completely shut down.

When he was ready to start jumping again, we started with the most basic step in jump training for a horse, a ground pole. Usually a horse would not be scared walking right over it, but Biscuit didn't want any part of it. He snorted, resisted and then would finally leap over it with stress and anxiety.

Nan, then introduced essential oils and energy work into Biscuit's training program. What a difference with just the first sniff. His head immediately dropped as he inhaled it-it was like all of wounds from his painful past began to leave him. Several oils later when we rode him, he went around the ring in a relaxed manner and with more confidence. This is when this horse went from Biscuit to Biscotti.

As we continued using different oils and energy healing methods including Raindrop, he began to go over poles and then small jumps with ease. For several months, Nan continued her work along with the training and the jumps became progressively higher and higher until Biscotti was easily clearing 4' courses with plenty of room to spare!

It was truly a special moment to see Biscuit jump with no fear in his eyes or bones; and actually enjoy his work again! Nan's work and the oils helped Biscuit become Biscotti when his spirit was recovered and he left the past behind!
