What is Nan's Mental (Mindset), Emotional and Spiritual Interpretation of this Oil?
It is interesting that the ancient and modern definitions of Rue all include sorrow, regret and grief.
Therefore, there is no accident that this plant has been used for centuries to shed light on our own truth. This is especially the case where regret and grief are so deeply rooted in the body that these emotions have hidden our truth to the point of total self denial.
Self-denial on this level happens in situations of neglect or persecution where the body and mind need to suppress our memories (and the truth) in order to survive.
Rue helps us to release that grief and embrace our spiritual path so that we have the means to be empowered once again. Although, sometimes it is hard for us to look at, or know the truth of the matter, it is also the one thing that releases us energetically and allows us to move forward.
What Chakra is Affected? The root and heart chakras expand.
What is the Corresponding Chakra Color? Green.
How Do I Use It?
First, this oil should never be used undiluted or internally.
Personally, from what I have read and researched, I would probably only use Rue in a blend that was professionally made.
Additionally, finding a good quality Rue oil would be extremely difficult, and even then, I'm still not sure if I would use it without extreme dilution or without another balancing oil.
With that said, please read below regarding safety precautions.
Can this Oil be Used for Pets? No I would not use it as a single oil.
Note About Animal Use: Certain oils can be very toxic to cats. Citrus products and oils in particular. Please consult your vet if you are not sure about applying any essential oil to your pet.
What are the Safety Precautions?
Honestly, I can't quite get all the information I would like to have on Rue Essential Oil.
I know the herb and/or extracts from the herb can be toxic to ingest but normally the oil of the plant is quite different.
Also, the essential oil constituents are Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) according to the FDA.
This leaves some confusion and uncertainty to oil users and my readers; therefore, I am leaving it up to the professionals to prepare any blend containing this oil.
Women that are pregnant, are breast feeding or children should NOT use this oil. Rue should not used as a dietary supplement.
Rue is an irritant to the skin and mucous membranes; therefore caution is advised for any topical application. Dilution is required.
